Bitcoin Sentiment Analysis

Bitcoin has been ranging between $62.8K and $72.6K for over a month, repeatedly failing to sustain consolidation above the $70K level. Each attempt to break higher has been met with aggressive profit-taking from short-term sellers, with realized profits exceeding $5 million per hour, effectively capping further upside momentum.

Currently, price is trading between two critical levels: the Realized Price at $54.4K (representing the average acquisition cost of the total supply) and the True Market Mean at $78.4K (reflecting the cost basis of actively traded coins).

Under normal conditions, this range could support a move toward the $78K level. However, given the unstable geopolitical backdrop and repeated rejections near $70K, the probability of a downside move toward the $54K support appears higher.

ETF Flows

During the recent market correction, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced persistent outflows, with their 7-day moving average remaining negative until price approached the $65K region. Notably, over the past week, this trend has reversed significantly, with strong inflows pushing the 7-day average back into positive territory.

This marks the strongest wave of demand since the correction began and may indicate renewed institutional participation near recent price lows. While it is still premature to confirm a structural shift in demand, continued inflows could signal improving institutional sentiment and reestablish ETFs as a key source of market support.

Short-Term Volatility Outlook

Following Bitcoin’s unexpected resilience to recent geopolitical shocks, options markets are signaling reduced short-term stress. Implied volatility (IV), particularly in near-term expiries such as one-week contracts, has declined more sharply than longer-term maturities.

This suggests a fading of immediate risk premiums, although overall volatility levels remain elevated compared to recent months—indicating that markets have not fully stabilized. What has changed is the urgency of hedging short-term risks.

Previously, traders were willing to pay higher premiums for downside protection in anticipation of imminent volatility following political or economic shocks. However, as Bitcoin has demonstrated resilience and initial shocks have subsided, demand for short-term protection has declined, leading to a compression in implied volatility for near-dated contracts.
