The Crypto Account is built for traders who want exposure to crypto CFDs inside a regulated broker environment, with the same risk tools and platform they already use for the rest of their portfolio.
What is the Crypto Account?
It is a live trading account configured specifically for crypto CFD instruments. You don't custody coins — you trade contracts on the price of the underlying, with full leverage, margin, and risk-management controls inside MetaTrader 5.
Compared to a centralized exchange, this means one ledger for everything (forex, metals, indices, crypto), one risk profile, and one set of withdrawal rails — instead of moving capital between four platforms to follow a setup.
Crypto account features
The configuration that separates this account from the rest:
- MetaTrader 5 execution — All crypto CFD instruments are traded inside MT5 — the same platform used for the rest of MondFx's markets.
- Leverage up to 1:100 — Tuned for crypto volatility — high enough to take a position but conservative compared to forex leverage.
- Low spreads on majors — Competitive spreads on BTC, ETH, and the top altcoins, with a transparent commission per lot.
- Higher stop-out and margin call — Stop-out at 90% and margin call at 120% — set deliberately tighter to limit blow-up risk on crypto's volatility.
- Minimum deposit $500 — Sized to give you enough margin to run a position with proper risk on at least one crypto instrument.
Who is this account for?
This account fits traders who want crypto as part of a wider portfolio, not as their entire activity. If you are looking for spot crypto custody or want to actively scalp dozens of altcoins, a dedicated exchange is the better venue. If you want clean exposure to BTC/ETH/top alts alongside the rest of your trading, this is the right home.
How to open a Crypto account
Opening it is the same flow as any MondFx account:
- Sign in to your MondFx client area and complete KYC if it isn't already done.
- Go to the Accounts section, choose Create new account, then select Crypto from the list.
- Set base currency (USD is the most common for crypto) and leverage, and confirm. Credentials are issued immediately.
- Fund the account from your wallet or by direct deposit. Once it lands, you can open MT5 and start trading.
